| The 2008 New England Generals participated in the following tournaments: |
Niagara Nike Bauer Spring Hockey Challenge, Niagara Falls, Ontario April 18-20 Teams: 1996, 1997,1998,1994 April 25-27 Teams: 1999, 2000, This tournament takes place in and around Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Please be aware of all current travel documentation restrictions. You can follow the links provided in the travel section to help you with any questions or concerns. Key points to remember: ALL travelers must have a current US passport. This includes all children. Any children travelling with only one parent or another player's parents should have a notarized letter from the non-travelling parent(s). There is a link for a generic form letter you can complete and have notarized on our Rinks Hotels & Travel page. If you visit the Rinks Hotels & Travel page you can utilize several links make your travel easier. Be aware that any families driving to the tournament may experience long delays at border crossings depending on time of day and location. The crossing at the Rainbow Bridge will most likely be the closest and most accessible to the rinks and whichever hotel we arrange for. Please keep in mind that this crossing is a favorite of many tourists going to the falls because it enters the heart of downtown Niagara Falls and has an amazing view. Many consider the Canadian side of the falls to be the side to visit. The downtown area is likened to Coney Island or Blackpool in England. On the "Queensway" (Rt. 420) leading from Niagara Falls to the Toronto metro area there are many vineyards. The primary rink for this tournament is just outside the winery country off the 420. Another point to consider is that Toronto is within 90 minutes of the primary rink. Keep in mind that there is always traffic on the 420 or the 401 outside of Toronto so be aware of delays. The Hockey Hall of Fame is located in downtown Toronto and is easily accessible from the major roads. Toronto does have a rush hour and it is comparable to any major city in the U.S. for it's delays.
